Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: 18 September 2026

This policy is written for residents of California. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here. Residents of other states: see the section near the end of this page.

Submit your request

Use this form to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or to ask us what we hold, to delete it or to correct it. You can also email contact@499group.com with the subject "Privacy request". We do not ask you to sign in or to accept anything to send a request.

What do you want us to do?

Opt-out requests are not verified; we act on them as received. For requests to know, delete or correct we match the details above against our records before we answer.

Who we are

Bob Can Fix Your House is a website operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd. We do not perform home-improvement work and we do not buy houses. When you submit a project request, Four Nine Nine Ltd shares it with participating service providers and marketing partners so they can contact you about your project, and may be compensated for that. Under the CCPA that sharing can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which is why this page exists.

1. Your right to know

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared or sold it to, and to give you a copy of the specific information in a portable, readily usable format. In the preceding 12 months:

Personal information under the CCPA does not include publicly available government records or de-identified information.

2. Your right to delete

You may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. Use the form above or email contact@499group.com with the subject "CCPA right to delete". Once we verify the request we delete your records from our systems, except where the law lets us keep them, for example to complete a request you asked for, to detect fraud, or to meet a legal obligation. We will tell you if we keep anything and why. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to delete it or to stop selling or sharing it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

3. Your right to opt out of sale or sharing

You may tell us not to sell or share your personal information. Note that submitting a project request is itself a request that we pass your information to participating service providers so that they can contact you about the project; if you later opt out, we stop any further sale or sharing of the information we hold. To opt out, use the form at the top of this page, email contact@499group.com with the subject "Do not sell my information", or write to the address below. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to delete it or to stop selling or sharing it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

To stop marketing messages from a service provider or marketing partner, reply STOP to any text message or use the unsubscribe link in their email; those messages come from them, not from us.

4. Opt-out preference signals

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: when your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser and we do not load advertising tags. If your browser sends the signal and you then submit a request form, we tell you on the form that the two conflict and ask you to confirm that you want this request sent to participating service providers and marketing partners; your confirmation applies to that request only, and the signal keeps applying to everything else.

5. Your right to correct

You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. Tell us what is wrong and what it should be; we may ask for documentation before we change a record.

6. Non-discrimination

We will not deny you the service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

7. How to submit a verifiable request

Send requests through the form at the top of this page, to contact@499group.com, or to Four Nine Nine Ltd, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing and requests to limit the use of sensitive personal information are not verified: we act on them as received, unless we have reason to believe the request is fraudulent. Requests to know, delete or correct are verified as described here. Such a request must give us enough to verify you are the person the information is about, and must say which right you are exercising: to know, to delete, or to correct. To verify identity we match the name, email address, phone number and, if needed, the ZIP code or street address you used on this site against our records. We do not ask for a Social Security number to verify a request. You may make a request to know twice in any 12-month period; there is no limit on requests to delete or to correct.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides your signed permission; for requests to know, delete or correct we also verify your identity directly with you.

8. When we respond

We act on opt-out and limit requests within 15 business days and tell the third parties that received your personal information in the previous 90 days to stop selling or sharing it. For requests to know, delete or correct we confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within 45 days; if we need up to 45 more days we tell you why in writing. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with the word "Appeal"; a person who did not make the original decision reviews the appeal and answers in writing within 45 days.

Information held by service providers

Once a participating service provider or marketing partner has received your request, it holds that information under its own privacy policy. You may also contact that company about its own processing; that does not replace our responsibility to handle your request, including the notifications described above.

Residents of other states

The rights above, and the appeal process, are also available to residents of other states with consumer privacy laws; see Your privacy rights in the Privacy Policy.
